Manila Folders And Normal Envelopes

It is very common that x-rays are in Manila folders and envelopes (sleeves).
many people think the need to remove the x-rays out of the sleeves in order to prepare it for recycling.

Removing the film from the manila folders or envelopes might be helpful for the x-ray recycling company but than you will be left with the jackets that still has important patient information on them.

If you can find the right company that will buy the paper jackets for recycling so you might be OK, there are a few paper recycling companies in Los Angeles and San Diego area.

Bottom line, if you can sell the paper jackets so it will be a good idea to remove the x-rays out of the envelopes and manila folders prior to selling your x-rays for silver recovery, if not just sell the x-rays inside the jackets or folders.
